Ding Junhui hs recently expressed his support for London to host the Olympic Games in 2012. He cites, as reasons for his backing, the warmth and hospitality of the British people and the quality of British sporting venues. He says...
"I can't think of a better city for Beijing to hand over the honour of hosting the Summer Games than to London. Britain is my second home. It's where I've done much of my training and I've experienced first hand the warmth and hospitality of the British people and their passion for sport. London also has the biggest Chinese population of any European city and I know our athletes and supporters would get a wonderful welcome there in 2012."
"London's got a fantastic bid. The combination of existing world famous venues such a Wimbledon, the new Wembley, Lords and Hyde Park along with a new Olympic Park would provide an amazing experience for China's athletes in 2012."
