Interactive Strategy Gaming is a relatively new name. It is a combination of Play by Mail (PBM) and Play by email (PBeM) as well as similar concepts by phone and fax. Generally speaking, an Interactive Strategy Game is a multi-player, turn-based game than is hosted on a remote computer and is played by having a number of game turns processed on this computer. The results of your turn are then sent back to you.
